    Default Unroot?

I rooted my LG Lucid 3 and it turns out I can't really get much. I would like to uproot it so I may update my phone, please help.

Which root method did you use? If there is a SuperSU app in your app drawer, you can do a full unroot from there.

I think Towelroot is only temporary. I've read that rebooting the device gets rid of root access. Could you try that?

OK. Do you have SuperSU in your app drawer?

I have tried using SuperSU before but after the full unroot my phone in the status section will still say that it is rooted though root checkers do not always agree with that.

So phone says yes, root checkers say no? I'd be inclined to believe the latter. Are you able to use root features of apps? That could confirm whether you are or not.

The root checkers say that I do not have full root access sometimes, other times I do. My phone however seems to always think it is rooted and will not install the already downloaded update.

You can try universal unroot from the Play Store. Someone I was helping earlier said it worked for them even though SuperSU didn't.

Root checker says I no longer have proper Root access but my phone still thinks it's rooted. Fingers crossed on the update.

Did you delete or freeze any system apps when you had root?

Yeah. You can't update if one of them is disabled or deleted.

So I did delete the preset NFL app and I had several disabled apps.

What did you use for those? If it's just through system settings you can probably enable them again. For the deleted app, you will have to find a way to install it again.
Otherwise you'll have to flash a stock ROM.

I'm not familiar with doing it on LG devices. Other than checking LG's site I don't really know what else to tell you. Sorry

UnSecUred, I'm not sure if you are still having this issue as this thread is months old, but I was having the same exact issue with my lg lucid 3, after a bit of digging I was able to find the stock firmware from some shady parts of the internet

    pan.baidu . com/wap/link?uk=2298733020&shareid=3466789531&third=0

You'll also need the LG Flash Tool 2014 to flash your phone

    forum.xda-developers . com/showthread.php?t=2797190

be sure you have the right usb drivers installed and that you place the kdz file in the same director as the flash tool, be sure to read the directions in the thread. Also you place your phone in download mode this way

All I had to do was update my phone through the computer. Just wondering since you one of the few with the same phone as me. Do you like yours?
