My S5 will connect to the open wifi at work and my mom's guest wifi (as well as others) with a good to excellent signal but will not actually do anything! My laptop connects to all of them just fine. My fellow employees have Iphones and a galaxy s4 mini and have no problems at all with it.
I tried changing to static, I tired airplane mode on and off, I tried turning my data off while on wifi and none of them work.. before the kitkat 4.4.2 software update it sort of worked but it was spotty..now not at all and I like to watch my Netflix on my lunch hour at work.
Help please....the techs at the us cellular stores seem to be less than helpful... I have had it 2 month and am wondering if I need to exchange it or something
