    Hi there,

So Girlfriend had a HTC one M7 and it's destroyed by dropping it in toilet. Just wondering is there anyway to recover the photos on it (they were not backed up).

I believe it doen't have a SD card, just flash memory.

Dry out the phone in some rice for a few days, then connect the phone via usb to a laptop or computer and see if you can access the phones data. Also if your gf backed up her photos via Google you should be able to access them via Google Photos.

Yes, we always used to suggest the old dry rice method on the forums, but Rukbat explains that any fix may be temporary and that instead we should:

Buddy, you'd better send it to the repair shop first to check if it can be fixed or not. If yes, you can try some data recovery apps to see if you can use this kind of apps to recover your pictures or not.
