Issues connecting to WIFI at home

[AC Question]

Sadly, I know little to nothing about IT matters, so hoping someone can help. I've had my HTC One for 8 months and no issues connecting to WIFI at home. This week I returned home from work, and attempted to access the internet via my phone, however, it connected... but phone kept giving me message that I had lost connectivity. From what I can gather, the IP address for my home network is showing differently than that which I see on my phone when my phone automatically connects. I have attempted to "forget network" and add new, which does show the new IP address, but when it shows "connected", the IP address is the incorrect one. Help!
