Tablet won't charge beyong 34%. I tried turning off and leaving on the charger all night but still no luck. any advice

Have you tried another charger and power source? Give that a try and see if it fixes the issue. Otherwise, if a factory reset doesn't fix it then it's related to the battery. It will need to be replaced, which requires you to open the device up and possibly remove certain parts of the hardware to get it replaced.

I would test the battery with an app to give you the stats on it, but it looks like your battery might be dying... You should still be under Warranty though, as this model came out less than a year ago (but act fast! the year period is coming up)
