AC Question

Hello
I bought a brand new Samsung Galaxy S5 directly from EE as part of an upgrade. It's running Android version 4.4.2.

I have downloaded the Virgin Media TV Anywhere app, but can't access the live TV as it would appear my phone is rooted or has had 'unauthorised modifications'. Another app, the Lloyds TSB banking app, won't work as it too has recognised my phone as being rooted.

I downloded the root checker and it said "Sorry, this device does not have proper root access".

I've also completed a restore to factory settings, but the same apps still have this error. Also, the AVG scan came up with a result saying it was in High Privilege Mode

Can anyone help me? I don't know what rooting is (but I've been told it's like Jailbreaking ...whatever that is!) so don't know why these apps are showing this error.

Thanks
