    Default S3 Factory Reset

I did a factory reset on my S3 and after it completed deleting the files, the screen went black and the phone will not come back on. I have tried power + volume + menu and nothing happens. I have removed the battery and put back in and nothing happened. Please help

    Welcome to AC
Does it respond at all? Any vibrations or sounds when you try to turn it on?

    Nothing happens. No vibration, nothing.

Hmm. May be a bad battery. Try pulling it out, putting it on a flat surface and seeing if it spins freely. If it does, then you need to replace it.

Not the battery. It doesn't spin freely

The lack of spinning doesn't rule out a bad battery--the presence of spinning simply confirms it. It's still worth trying a new or different battery. You don't necessarily have to buy one--if you have a friend or relative who also has an S3, you could just ask to borrow their battery for a few minutes to see if it boots up.
