nexus 7 (2013) is charging weird

I got my nexus 7 (2013) about late January/ early February of this year. It was working great, but now it will go in and out of recognizing my charger. I have tried other wires, but they work fine on my Samsung galaxy s3 and not my nexus. It plugs in secure, but goes in and out of charging. Even googled how to fix this and found nothing. HELP!!

It could be the battery...see if you can have it tested. It could be a problem relating to the tablet's USB port, which will need testing by a qualified technician.
It could also be the charger, unless you have used this successfully for charging another device (I'm not suggesting you should do this because it may be incompatible, but you may have tried it).
