Samsung Galaxy s3 (international GT-I9300) Wont boot

[AC Question]

Won't boot past the splash screen.
I can get to Revoer and download modes, but none of the options seems to have a positive effect.

Tried Odin v3.09 but it just fails pretty quickly with the latest official rom for New Zealand.

Any ideas on what the next step should be? I am completely at a loss to explain why this issue has occurred.
