Pictures don't show up for a single friend?

Hi, I have a galaxy s5 and most of the time I send pics to him they show up as a missing/corrupted file for him. He has a galaxy s4 and this problem seems to be unique to us, meaning I don't have this problem with sending pics to anybody else and vice versa.

The only thing wrong with my phone is the gyroscope, it had stopped sending data a while back for some reason, and the stupid charger port cover broke off yesterday. Nothing is wrong with his phone either. Any ideas on why this is happening?

Welcome to Android Central! Both of you should try going to the App Manager, selecting the Messenger app, and Clearing Cache then Force Stopping. Then try again.

If you're both ok with losing any saved text messages, try also tapping Clear Data in that menu.

Both of you could also try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data:
