Wi-fi problem - 'authentication problem' - HELP ME!

AC Question

In my house we have a brand new Virgin Media TiVo box that was installed a short while ago. We got a new Wi-Fi password along with this and I was able once again to successfully access the internet on my phone (a sony xperia st21i on android). However, I have had to completely reset my phone due to insufficient memory space on the device. When I now come to type in the Wi-Fi password, it says there is an 'authentication problem'.

Can anyone please help me and explain what I have to do to get onto my Wi-Fi !?

(p.s I am on an EE mobile network on my Phone, not Virgin Media)

For your Virgin Media Hub, please follow the steps below:
1. Type: 192.168.0.1 in your browser window(address bar) to open up the modem log in page. This can be done when connected to your Hub over WiFi or via an ethernet cable.

2. Once the login window opens, type in your settings password and click on 'Continue'. You will find your settings password on the sticker at the bottom of your modem.

3. Don't change anything go to Advance Setting >Wireless> Security
on the right hand you will have WiFi password (security key) -
It's different password then WiFi password for some reasons.
Type this (security key password) when tablet, phone telling you ''authentication problems''.

Should connect without problem. It works for my tablet, phone, kindle.
