Default Can you still use a phone's camera if glass cracked, digitizer working, phone not activated?

Or more generally, can you still use non-phone features such as camera, calendar, clock, etc. even when the phone portion is not activated?

    Thanks for the quick answer.

How about (non-phone-related) apps? E.g., a camera app.

No phone yet - planning a strange and wonderful timed camera use that doesn't require more than, say, a 5mp camera. Might be a little tricky d/l and installing apps without activation... just thought of that... maybe via USB OTG?

I'll look into these. The idea was to go cheap since cracked glass is hard to re-sell and prices are correspondingly low. Or an ancient android (think Moto Admiral).

After discovering a stop-motion app or two, and since I've always wanted to do time-lapse, I was planning to set up some time-lapse captures. Off the wall. Left field. That kind of thing. Thanks for your info.
