LG G2 battery

[AC Question]

I've had my phone for about 5 months, it's a LG G2, and over the past month or two it will shut itself down and not come back on. The only way to get it to come back on is if I plug it in, which it will then say that it is at 100% battery even if i have been using it for an hour. It has been progressively getting worse, to the point where I can barely use it if it's not plugged in. Please help.

It sounds to me as if the battery may be failing.
