Question GPS without LTE - usable?

    Hi all,

Quick Question: I am debating getting the new Moto G, but I'm hesitant due to the lack of LTE. Does GPS functionality weaken without LTE? I.e., can I use it on long road trips without issues?

Please note, I would probably be using Waze or Google Maps.

    Welcome to the Forums.
I'm not sure that GPS needs a data connection to work but imagine that navigation certainly would. However I can't see that you would need or greatly benefit from 4G or LTE for that.
