Crashing Galaxy s5 active when moving files.

Every time I try to move a file on my active either on the device or to my SD card it goes straight back to My Files with no notification and when I check the folder that I tried to move the files to nothing is moved. No matter how many tries or different content its the same result. Need some advice on how to remedy this or what I'm doing wrong.

Welcome to Android Central! What kind of file are you trying to move? Which file manager are you using? Try a good 3rd party one like ES File Explorer.

I've been using the my files app and I just tried that third party app with no luck as well. As for file type I can't move any kind what so ever.

Can you give an example of a file you're trying to move? If it's a system file, you won't necessarily be able to move it.

Try booting into Recovery and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 5 | T-Mobile Support

Just gave that a shot and still not working. Also when I tried the recovery reboot it says error right of the bat and then turns on.

I tried everything over again and nothing worked. So I reluctantly did a factory wipe after I backed everything up and after I reinstalled everything it actually works now. Thanks.
