Ok, I have a EKEN 10in tablet, and its really gotten this bad habit of playing in the speakers and headphones at the same time. I know its not the headphones because the ones I have now are new and my tablet did the same thing to the old ones. I've tried turning it off then back on , and I can't really do anything from the settings. I have a feeling it won't do anything if I just reset the system. Please help me, because this thing is driving me nuts.
p.s. Its a Jellybean system btw if that helps at all.

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain the headphone plug is in all the way? Did you feel or hear a click when plugging it in? A plug that is only partway in might play sound over both the headphones and the tablet speakers.

Go to the Settings>Sound menu and see if there are any settings there that might be related. If not, it may just be a hardware glitch, which would not be that surprising for a off-brand device.
