I've had my Galaxy 10.1 for about two years and counting. I was always able to bring it back from its death throws without a factory reset. It has been glitching, lagging, and doing all manner of electronic death advances and still I refused to believe that it was down for the count. I'm a little upset because I've invested so much into the Tablet and losing the data now is my main concern.

As of right now my tablet is no longer recognizing touch screen commands aside from an inch wide strip at the top. That is it. No touch screen commands are even available after. I feel at a complete loss because the screen rotation works like magic.

My question is, "Is there any way I can remote reset the tablet instead of doing a complete format?"

    Welcome to the Forums.

It may be worth trying a Cache Partition wipe:

Maybe something is wrong with the internals of the phone if the touch screen isn't working

Try backing up the data on it now with Helium.
