Galaxy SIII 0% Battery Full charge reflected

[AC Question]

My phone will charge if it has 1% power and charge fully. If my battery is completely dead, the phone will show that that battery has a full charge and not charge the battery at all. I have to swap the battery out with my wifes phone and her phone will charge that battery to 1% then switch it and then my phone will charge it fully. My phone also seems to be using battery power even when the phone is off. I can have 100% power going to bed, sleep 8 hours and wake up hoping I still have a charge, but the battery is dead. Then have to do the swap again, wait for the 1%,then swap again to charge. Its not the charging cords as I have 4 phones of the same type in my house, and have tried them all. Its most definitely the phone.

If you charge your battery fully in your wife's phone, and leave it in there, does it perform normally?

Similarly, if your wife fully charges her battery in her phone, then transfers it to yours, do you still lose charge from it overnight or is all well?
