Hello. Not at all. I think it is not active in all countries. You also have Android Device Manager from Google which is very good.
Go to settings - General - Device Administrators and see if android device manager and find my phone is enabled.

With Android Device Manager you can locate, wipe, lock, unlock, plus leave a lock screen message and phone number for whoever finds it. You log in with your Gmail address and password.
