I have a Galaxy S5. On some webpages not optimized for mobile that have very small links I have sometimes accidentally been able to get the area of the page containing the links to rise up in a magnified window while the rest of the page remains the same size. The problem is I have no idea how I did it (accidentally did it while trying to hit one of the very tiny links) and can't seem to replicate it on purpose.

I've googled ever term I can think of and all I get is how to enlarge the font of the entire page with double or triple tapping. If anyone knows what the secret is to get this small magnification window to appear your help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's called "link preview". It pops up when two links are very close and you tap somewhere in between. The typical example is a page index in a forum using the desktop version.
