When I remove the micro SD from my galaxy s5, it shuts off and starts up much quicker than it does with it. Any reason? Are there differences with speed with micro SD cards?

It could be due to a corrupt file, which is a fairly common issue that arises with Samsung devices. Insert the SD card into your Windows PC (using a fullsize SD adapter), and run chkdsk to look for bad sectors. http://forums.androidcentral.com/amb...d-sd-card.html
