I recently bought my sister a nexus 5 from a retail phone shop. The phone was used without a polycarbonate or leather case or cover that come on most phones nowadays. Apparently the screen on the phone cracked from a short fall, maybe about a 1 to 2 feet high drop, which is quite surprising since most phones could absorb such an impact. I searched on the net and it seems that nexus 5 screen is prone to crack with even the slightest impact.
I am on the lookout looking for a new phone for her and I'd like some advice. I think it would be unwise to replace the nexus 5 screen since it is reported that even the replaced screen can break on a slight impact. Therefore could you suggest some alternative brands or phone models that are reported to have tough screens ? I dont mean military grade material here, but something that could last a bit of an impact.
