S4 mini: headphone doesn't connect to the hand set at all and no sound what so ever.

Folks,
Its hardly been a month since I bought my S4 mini and the problem with the sound and headphone has started. The headphone sign refuses to go even when the haead phone is not connected. worse, I cant' connect the headphone with/into the Handset. the pin doesn't fit in at all. Have tried everything, incuding factory reset, restart etc. do I change the handset itself?

Welcome to Android Central! If you can't fit a headphone plug in, then something is probably lodged in there. If it's metal, then it's probably making the phone think a headphone is connected. Sometimes, the tip of a headphone plug can break off in the jack and do this.
