When connected to a WIFI network and also having mobile data switched on, although the WIFI connection is much faster and consistent than the mobile network (don't have good mobile data coverage at home), I frequently find that my phone is trying to connect via the mobile data and have to turn it off for WIFI to work consistently.

Also I find this sometimes happens the other way around, in the sense that when connected to a WIFI network with a slow speed or bad connection and mobile data is on, I must turn the WIFI off to use mobile data.

Can someone not just code a quick ping to a server via WIFI and then Mobile Data and subsequently connect to the network with the lowest ping to a given server. This could be done at set intervals with small packet sizes so that it doesn't really affect the connection.

I know there are workarounds for turning either off when the other is connected but nothing for checking the best connection and choosing it automatically.

    Any thoughts ???

    Regards,

    Ash.
