camera takes upside down pictures after update

[AC Question]

jus recently updated my s5 and ever since when I try to take pictures its like everything is upside down on picture taking screen. and the picture is upside down in the preview anyone one know a fix for this?

Have you tried clearing the cache for the camera or the system cache in recovery?

Hi. I recently updated my andriod to 5.1.1 and have been facing the problem since then. Auto rotation feature isn't working anymore and camera is clicking photos upside down. I did everything mentioned in the post, from clearing the cache to resetting my device. Everything has proved to be futile. My nexus 6 is just 6 mnths old and I am cursing myself to have updated the phone. Please help sumone!!

The same thing happened to me when I updated. Go to Settings-->Apps-->Camera and then click uninstall updates. It won't delete any pictures in your library (and presumably you have them backed up in Google photos anyway). The camera stopped flipping my photos after I did this
