annoying mono playback issue

[AC Question]

I have an LG Opitmus zip on Walmart's Straight talk plan. That part's all fine and dandy... for the most part. The problem I'm having is with whatever music player I'm running at the time (and this has happened with 3 seperate music players) so it's obv an issue w/ the phone itself.. ANYway, it keeps playing back my downloaded music files, mp3's mostly, in mono. I Can temporarily solve the problem by rebooting the phone, but it always starts right back up again. Anyone out therer familar w/ this problem? Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! This is over headphones, right? Which music app are you using? Are you sure the headphone plug is in all the way? You should feel or hear a click when it is. If it isn't in all the way, then you might not get stereo sound.
