Apps not opening on Nexus 10

[AC Question]

I'm on Android 4.4.4 and the device isn't rooted.

Several times a day, my device will just start to become unresponsive, but not completely frozen. I can see which apps are currently open, swipe them closed and go into them, and I can go back to the home screen. If I try to open an app, the icon highlights but nothing opens. If I go to an app that's already open, I can scroll up/down but when I try to select anything (e.g. a Google search result, or click in a text box), it's unresponsive.

If I restart the device, it goes back to normal.

Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Try booting into Recovery Mode and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data. Look at post #11 in this thread: http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-nexus-10-tablet/243451-how-clear-nexus-10-cache.html

Tried it, and the problem still occurs
