Internal storage vs. micro-SD on an Xperia Z3

Hello everyone,

I was wondering if there was any point in going with higher internal storage when you can get fast and relatively cheap micro-SDs with capacity of up to 128GB? Especially when you can now move apps directly onto the card.

Welcome to Android Central! Does Sony actually allow you to move an entire app to the SD card? As far as I know, moving an app to SD on an unrooted phone is still only moving a portion of the app, not the whole thing. A substantial part of it has to remain in Internal Storage to function properly.

I would still go for as much Internal Storage as you can afford. Apps (especially complex games) are just getting bigger and bigger, so it's one of the best ways to future-proof your device.
