    Welcome to AC
Unfortunately, that device is only upgradeable to 4.1.2
And since it is almost 3 years old, there probably isn't much custom ROM support, if any.

Were you able to find one for the Note? (And it has to be your specific model. Not just any random Note)

    Yes! I found that!
But i am very much afraid in doing that
Because i have never done that before!
If i boot it with that custom rom and it doesn't work
So my old rom also don't work and then my phone will be of NO USE

You can flash the stock ROM fairly easily.
    Is your device rooted?

It needs to be rooted and have a custom recovery installed before you can flash the ROM.

It should actually be significantly faster, odd that it became slower.

Oh, OK. I thought you meant you had already updated it and that it was slow.
It should at least be faster than what it is now. Were you able to successfully root the device?

If you don't know what you're doing, it's recommended to stay away from rooting and installing custom ROMs, so I'm with your friend on this one.
It would likely improve performance over the stock ROM though
