    I doubt it. From where, the battery? I think you're safe as long as you don't put it on a hot surface or in the microwave or something.

    Do you see or smell any chemicals? It sounds like a shattered screen so if you're going to handle broken glass take all the precautions you would with any broken glass.

    I dissasemled my nexus 7 2012 with a cracked screen and nothing bad happened, you'll be fine.
