I have found a few threads but none with definitive answers. I am currently using a Moto X and cannot find a way to block texts/sms/mms from unwanted numbers. The hangouts app has this feature but it doesn't really do much good for me because the messages still show up in the native messaging app. All third party apps I've tried report in the about section that they do not work with Android 4.4. Has anyone found a solution to this or am I missing something?

On my HTC One M8 I can block numbers within the messaging app.

I open the app. Tap the settings button. I then see an option for Block List. From there I can add numbers. Are you able to find this option on your Moto X?

This option is not available in the Moto X messaging app. Most of the newer, flagship phones have blocking as a native feature (M8, S5, G3). I have owned pretty much every one but this is not a feature that the Moto X has as it is not a feature of the native messaging app. Unless I'm missing something, you are unable to block messages or people in the native messaging app.
