Nexus reliability

[AC Question]

Is it just bad luck or all Google Nexus 2012 having the same reliability issues as me. I purchased my first unit in February 2013. Used mainly as an ereader. July 2013 I had to send to asus Repair Centre for repair - would not boot up. Unit replaced. February 2014 unit would not boot up again and was returned for warranty repair. Battery replaced. August 2014 same again - would not reboot. Sent back once more for repair.
My question is this. This suggests to me these units only last 6 months, is this correct. My units were not dropped, kept in a leather cover and looked like brand new.

I have had the same unit since 2012 launch. Still works. Sound like a string of bad luck, however, mine is beginning to show it's age in terms of performance.

The nexus series works great tho is built like crap, I had a 2012 which had the same no turn on issue which I sent in to get fixed by Asus it works fine then a few months later this happens,(see below)now I have a 2013 which works perfect tho
