Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knew if I could take my 4g LG g Vista to straight talk by buying, one of,those "bring your OWN phone sim cards" I looked it up and it said I could but I just thought I would get a few other opinions before I spend the money. I live in sullivan county ny and I says I would need an at&t SIM. If anyone knows please let me know! thanks!

Go to Straight Talk Compatibility Test and put in the phone's ESN. That's the definitive answer. (You don't get a SIM, you get a CDMA conversion kit - which is about $7 at Walmart.) And you can't use the phone on AT&T (or TMobile) - it's a CDMA phone and they're GSM carriers. Different technology. It's like watching TV on an audio tape recorder.
