Dropped my samsung galaxy s4?

hey guys. today I was holding my s4, and some guy pushed me by accident and I dropped it. once I picked it up, it showed that my sd card was removed and it was preparing the sd card. I panicked because I thought all my photos were going to delete. but anyways, I dropped my phone and then it says preparing sd card. how can the sd card just be ejected like that and then inserted? ? what does this all mean? thanks

It may have gotten temporarily dislodged, then reseated. You may want to take this opportunity to backup all of your photos and other data on that card, just in case any problems crop up due to what happened. If the SD card got dislodged while it was in the middle of a read/write, then there's a potential for corruption.
