Did my Samsung update successfully?

Hi guys, i recently got the Samsung galaxy s5 from Verizon today and it had an update for the phone pending so I let it update. But before it finished I hit the back button and i'm not sure if the update finished. My phone restarted and went to configure the 145 files it updated. I'm not sure if i just i hit the back button right as the update finished or i messed up. any answers? thanks

Does the back button even work while your phone is updating or is it disabled??

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds like the update completed. The system will typically optimize all apps upon restarting.

Usually, when you accept the update, once it's downloaded and starts installing, it reboots pretty soon after, and then continues with the installation process. Once it has rebooted, the back button doesn't do anything until the installation has finished.
