The in-built speaker in my lenovo android ideatab always plays sound even if I have my earphones plugged in. When I watch a video the sound comes from the plugged in headphones and from the speaker on the tablet. I have searched around for a solution but haven't found one yet. Help meee

Welcome to Android Central! Are you certain the headphone plug is in all the way? If it's not all the way in, you could get sound through both.

If the headph9ones are plugged in all the way when this happens, there are two possibilities I can think of. The headphone plug may not be fitting properly, not allowing the shaft of the plug to go far enough down into the jack to turn the speakers off (try a different headphone, with a straight, not 90 degree bent, plug), or the headphone jack may be defective, not telling the phone that a plug is plugged in.
