Why does google voice randomly appear on my Galaxy Tab?

[AC Question]

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7 2.0
I'm in any of a number of apps when suddenly google search via voice appears, crashing the app.

Is there some secret setting I am triggering by:
1) reading a book in kindle
2) watching a youtube video
3) playing any of at least a dozen different games
4) editing a text note?

It's a really annoying "feature" how do I turn it off?

Welcome to Android Central! Can you describe what happens in more detail? Does a window pop up, prompting you to speak a search term? Or does the device start speaking to you?
