No notifications--either with sound, or on home screen--that a voicemail is waiting for me.

On Verizon, I call My Voicemail and listen for prompts to change options. One of the options is to turn notifications on/off. If it's on, turn it off. Exit Voicemail; return to settings and turn back on.

I do have Verizon's Voicemail Icon, which is used to sell Visual VoiceMail. If you don't subscribed, it just dials my voicemail, and automatically enters my password, then I listen as usual. But,, please, don't call me....send me a text! Lol
