Samsung Galaxy TAB won't turn on or charge

I have a Samsung tablet (ce0168) purchased in 2013 that has run well for several months. I set it aside for a little while with the power off and now am shocked to find it totally unresponsive after hours of charging. I have tried several of the hardware resets involving volume buttons, the power button, and the home button, but none provoke a response. Now, it's charging in a different charger just to see; however, even the charging light does not come on. I have tested the cable on the Bluetooth keyboard, which is charging just fine, so it's not that, nor the previous charger. How can I fix this myself? I'm not in a position to send it to Samsung at the moment. Even a temporary fix will work.

Welcome to Android Central! There may not be much you can do. The two likely possibilities are battery failure or charging port malfunction. You'd probably need to bring it to repair shop.
