    I've recently purchased an app and decided to cancel it i didn't work..but besides that the app store was weird it said no connection retry...
    I've set the manual time and date
    rebooted everything
    and nothing seems to work

    Try resetting App preferences. Settings, Apps, All, tap menu button, Reset. Let us know!

    What device do you have? Do your other Google apps work, like Gmail, Calendar, Play Music, etc?

    I've been seeing a number of posts about issues with Google Play Store not connecting, or problems with Google Play Services. There is a new version rolling out right now (6.1), so I wonder if these issues are correlated. You may just have to wait until the updated version rolls out to your device.
