When I try to update my Nexus 5 (update 4.4.4), the phone downloads the update and asks for an "Restart and Install". During the process, the progress bar shows some movement and then the screen displays "Error!" with a dead android on it.

Can anyone suggest something which resolves this issue?

P.S: I already tried factory reset. That didn't help.

Welcome to Android Central! Is the phone rooted or unrooted? If it's not rooted, and if you bought the phone directly from Google Play, you could talk to Google about getting a replacement: Google creates new free replacement program for damaged Nexus 5 phones | Android Central
