When I am within 30 ft of my car (either outside or inside my home) and I receive a call on my Samsung Galaxy S5, it always connects to my car's bluetooth. So the person is talking and I can hear them in my house from the car's speaker even though the car is not on. I did not have this problem with my Galaxy S3. I have deleted and unpaired and re-paired multiple times. The only thing that works is to remember to turn off bluetooth but that is a hassle. My car is a 2010 Cadillac SRX.

Evidently, even when the car is "off", the Bluetooth and audio system are on. Take it to your Cadillac dealer's service department. (The audio system should be off when the car is off, and connecting to an unpowered device is impossible.)

Good news. I called GM's Customer Support number 1.855.428.3669. Spoke with Dusty and he walked me through process to correct. My OnStar system was not shutting off when car was off (hadn't noticed the green OnStar light stayed on). Solution involved calling Verizon from the car's phone system *22890 and it automatically updated the software. Now my car can't eavesdrop on my calls. LOL. Nice to know there are still good problem solvers out there.
