I have a Razr HD - just installed the kitkat update and my swype is gone?

I love swype and use it for everything. anybody know how to get it back? Of course, I now have all the annoying smiley faces, but my face is very sad without my swype

Open the Play Store app, go to Swype and install it. (The button will say "Installed", not "Install", but pressing it will still install the keyboard.) And you don't have to pay for paid apps for the same phone - the Play Store knows that you already paid.

Thanks for the info - when I search Swype I get about 20 different apps - which one?

The one you had on the phone - I assume the Swype Keyboard by Nuance Communications.
