So this is my first android device in 4,years LG g3. I think it's a great phone but it seems like it runs a little slow at sometimes especially the home launcher. I was thinking about rooting it but have no idea and never done it before. Do you guys think it be a good idea to root? Is it pretty difficult to root? And could it,mess up my device if a mistake is made? All,answers would be helpful tha k you.

Rooting is now easier than ever.
You yourself will not brick your phone while rooting it.

You simply turn on "unknown sources from the security settings.
Then with your browser go to towelroot.com and click on the icon.
That will download the app to root your G3.
Then install the app and run it, once open click on the "make it rain" button.
You should be rooted within 5 seconds.
After you are rooted, go to the play store and download a super user app.
This will give root permissions to apps that require root.

I firmly believe that rooting is a good thing if you want full control of your device.

LG is sending out software updates. I already got it for my LG Volt. It was a large update, approximately 216mb.
If you download it it blocks towelroot.
If the G3 update hasn't been sent yet I bet it will be soon.
So be wary of updates if you plan to root your G3.

You should unroot before accepting the update. Make sure to uninstall su app. Go into app to do this. If you have no need for the update you can freeze certain files so your phone won't automatically update. Do a general search on this app (A/C) for more detailed and better information.

You will most likely lose root.

I would always wait till the update gets root again before attempting to update.
