Why am I getting error messages when sending emails?

Strange email problem

I have an HTC Desire S on which I accessfive different e-mail accounts with different hosts, BT, GMail, and Hotmail. They are all exhibiting the same behaviour.

When I send an e-mail, it gives me the message 'Unable to send email' and the mail stays in the Out Box. However, the mail has been sent and goes on being sent again every time that it tries to re-send, as it thinks it has failed. This has only started in the past few days.

Any help much appreciated.

This is happening to me too... my usual btinternet email seems to have been unusually acting up but then I got a new laptop recently but still using my old one as well, and today the HTC won't send. Maybe I've got too much stuff trying to sync? It's so frustrating as this is messing up work communications, wedding booking arrangements as well as some legal stuff going on. So it's pretty major. Today, I hate technology - I thought it was supposed to be labour saving. So far today, 2 hours spent with nothing achieved!! HELP!!
