How can you connect your samsung galaxy tab 10.1 to the computer to sort installations if there is no port on the tablet for a usb cable ????

Welcome to Android Central! Which Tab do you have? Is it the original Tab 10.1? Tab 2, 3, or 4? Tab Pro?

The Galaxy Tab 10.1, like most devices, has a microUSB port, which you can use to connect to your computer's USB port. Can you find that? Remember, it's a microUSB port, so you need a cable that has a microUSB plug on one end, and a standard USB plug on the other.

What do you mean by having the computer sort installations? The computer won't really help you with that. You can see what you've installed by bringing up your App Drawer, or going to the App Manager in the Settings.
