    hi guys i got nexus 5, 8 months. it was so stupid of me to use the nexus 5 in toilet. suddenly it slipped from my hand and fell into water and i hard to open the back case of the phone and sealed in the rice it didnt work and i showed it to the local service service from they said that they cant do repair the phone. one week over all this happened
    please give suggestion im worried

    I dropped mine in water as well. The first thing I did is go to my computer and Google for instructions to remove the battery. This was actually quite easy (both the search and the battery removal).
    Then I used a hair dryer to dry the phone out as best as possible. Then I put all of the pieces in a bowl with rice and covered it. Then wait. 24 hours minimum.
    Then put it all back together very slowly and carefully. Don't force anything. Hook it up to your charger and see if it will charge.
    It worked for me. I think the key is to get the battery out quickly.
