How can I receive notifications of missed calls when I turn my phone on?

Hi , Hoping you can help solve my problem. I would like to set up something on my Samsung Galaxy 4.

I would like to receive a notification of missed calls when I turn my phone on. So basically if people phoned whilst I had it off I would still get a notification when I turn it on. At the moment i don't and I also don't have messages set up as that's how I want it.
Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! So are you actually powering your phone off regularly? And you want to get notifications of calls you missed when the phone was powered off (as opposed to simply asleep), once you power it back on? I'm not sure if that's possible, unless you use a service like Google Voice.
