Why isn't my tablet charging using the USB port?

Sounds like the device isn't getting enough power to charge. That could be due to a bad cable or adaptor. Usually it's the cable. Do you have a different one to try? Not sure what device you have but often if it is not getting enough power to charge it will display an error, especially if you are playing with it while charging, saying that the device cannot charge due to the unit using more power than is being supplied. I guess it's also possible that it is receiving too much power if your adaptor is damaged, but plugging into a laptop or pc could reveal that if it charges when connected to another device but not when plugged into the wall.
