Why isn't the back button and options button working on my Galaxy S4?

The back button and options button isnt working on the galaxy s4

The touch back button and option button is not lighting up nor working. I've tried to fix it in my settings, but that didn't work either. The phone has not been dropped or anything.

Welcome to Android Central! Did this just start, and did it work normally before? Does this persist after a reboot? If so, then try booting to Recovery and wiping the cache partition, which won't erase any personal data: Reset: Samsung Galaxy S 4 | T-Mobile Support
